With each passing day, the election in November becomes more and more important. Every day, another worker loses his job, another single mom loses her health insurance, and another house is in foreclosure. Every day our children are missing out on crucial educational opportunities, and our nation's moral standing declines around the world. We can turn this country around, but it will take a President and a filibuster-proof Congress that are able to break through Republican obstructionism and pass legislation to end the war in Iraq and invest in jobs, education, and health care for all. And that means strengthening our majority in the Senate.
